Central Scotland - Pentland Reservoirs (update on trail 46)In the spring of 2009 the Friends of the Pentlands invited "WALKING ON WHEELS" on a joint site visit to trail 46, the Pentland Reservoirs, to discuss improvements at cattle grid barriers, as described in my book. The Friends decided to replace the gates with all-ability ones.  On Sunday 16 August 2009 Friends of the Pentlands organised a 'walk' for wheelchair users as part of the Midlothian Walking Festival. Half a dozen scooter-users plus their friends and relatives met up with half a dozen Friends of the Pentlands and had a lovely walk along the now barrier-free trail 46. © The Walking on Wheels Trust mmviii
