Grants Awarded

The Walking on Wheels Trustees took the decision at their Annual Meeting on 13th October 2007 to offer grants of up to £1000 on application from any organisation which complied with their aims.

Eligible Organisations

Any not-for-profit community group or voluntary group which has charitable status or has a constitution and a bank account which requires 2 signatories.

Partnerships of groups/organisations with a project which complies with the objectives of the Walking on Wheels Trust.

The Walking on Wheels Trust Constitution states:
In furtherance of our objects the Trust shall support initiatives to assist persons who have mobility disabilities to gain access to the countryside and other outdoor recreational facilities and to improve the opportunities for them to enjoy and appreciate the countryside and the outdoors generally.

Projects which help disseminate information which will help achieve this broad purpose will be particularly welcome.

The Trustees will consider applications for small grants (up to £1000) from charitable or other not-for-profit organisations based in Scotland whose objects are consistent with the Trust's aims which are to support initiatives to assist persons who have mobility disabilities to gain access to the countryside and other outdoor recreational facilities and to improve the opportunities for them to enjoy and appreciate the countryside and the outdoors generally. Applications for projects which help disseminate information which will help achieve this broad purpose will be particularly welcome.

1. Meets the objects of The Walking on Wheels Trust
2. Constituted group with bank account
3. Managed project with named contact
4. Realistic estimated costs
5. Amount requested no more than £1000
